Meet the Breathe Cleveland family!

Lauren Baker

Founder – Studio Manager

Lauren’s extreme passion for yoga and wellness has inspired her to combine corporate knowledge with yogic philosophy when it comes to running a business. She has come to find that when you are in alignment with who you truly are, you cannot help but uplift those with whom you come into contact. It is her greatest joy to make everyone that enters the studio feel seen and heard so that they have an opportunity to align with their divine purpose and call more spiritual freedom into their lives.

Lauren began her wellness journey in 2015 after being inspired to complete levels 1 and 2 Reiki training in Sedona, Arizona. After experiencing the healing effects as both a student and practitioner she added Reiki Master and 200-hour RYT training to her toolbox.

Halli Kiwi

Founder – Lead Teacher

Halli first stepped onto a yoga mat in high school, over 20 years ago. As she cultivated a regular yoga practice, she realized the magic was happening not only on the mat, but also in many areas of her life. This inspired Halli to want to share the gift of yoga, and thus begin her teacher training journey. Halli believes that we all have an opportunity to change our lives through yoga and she is passionate about teaching and sharing this gift with the students at Breathe Cleveland. As a mom of three boys, Halli finds calm amongst the chaos on a daily basis. She believes that yoga is for everybody and every body and if we can change our breath we can change our life. Halli carefully crafts her classes to be powerful while accessible and to guide her students deeper into their breath and their bodies so they leave feeling strong, aligned, and successful. She is so excited to bring these philosophies to the Breathe Cleveland community.

In 2004, Halli began assistant teaching classes and connecting with the student community while enhancing her own practice. A year later, she took her first intensive training with Baron Baptiste and soon began teaching classes all over the greater Cleveland area. Halli has amassed over 650 hours of Wellness Training, including Power Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Kids Yoga, Breathless Yoga, and Reiki Level 1 and 2. She has experience teaching at many Cleveland area yoga studios, gyms, and other private establishments over the last 17 years.

It wasn’t until her late 20s she started practicing consistently and became emersed in the hot power Baptiste style of yoga. What Andrea loves the most is being able to incorporate fun and creative sequencing in each class while still making it accessible for her students. You can expect some positive energy and a bit laughter.

In 2018, Andrea received her 200 hour RYT from Modern Yoga and in 2019 completed an apprenticeship with Citizen Yoga focusing on healthy alignment in the asana practice.

Katie Uminski

Teacher

Katie graduated from Native State Yoga’s 200hr program along with Yoga Alliance 200hr program. She wants to be a light for her students and show them how much yoga can shift their mindset into a happier state.

Katie has been practicing yoga since 2015 but really fell in love with it in 2017 after a huge loss in her family. She used yoga as a grieving tool and realized how healing breath and movement can be. In 2021 she decided to enroll in 2 different YTT because she knew teaching yoga was exactly what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Aside from teaching yoga, Katie also coaches softball and loves spending time with her 3 dogs!

Danielle Lasky

Teacher

Yoga allows Danielle to walk through life with a big heart and an open mind. It gives her a sense of freedom and allows her to feel balanced. She loves to teach, because it brings people together and encourages them to step outside of their comfort zones. Danielle invites her students to be mindful, find their edge, and personalize their practice with what feels best in their own body. Her flows are diverse, sweaty, and nourishing. Her goal is to create an environment that will allow you to be yourself and come out with a sense of strength and stability.

Danielle Lasky is a bubbly yoga enthusiast whose love for the practice stretches further than her mat. She began her physical practice when she was just 15 years old. What started as a fun hobby slowly turned into a positive lifestyle change as her practice deepened. She received her Certified Yoga Teacher credentials in 2019 and completed a Yoga Mentorship Program in 2020.
